Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is not to be confused with the more serious IBD (inflammatory bowel disease. Reference to IBS as any type of colitis is technically incorrect, for there is no inflammation, no ulceration or otherwise tissue changes. IBS is deemed a disorder of colon motility as the normal rhythmic muscular contractions of the digestive tract become irregular and uncoordinated. This interferes with the normal movement of food and waste  material which leads to an accumulation of mucus and toxins in the intestine. This accumulated waste sets up a partial obstruction of the digestive tract causing trapped gas and stools, which in turn causes bloating, abdominal distention and constipation. On the other hand, some IBS sufferers may feel an urge soon after eating which may often be accompanied by cramps and diarrhoea.

The aim of the Health Aura IBS plan is to optimise your digestive system. The following plan includes in depth knowledge on:

  • A scientific overview of IBS
  • Common triggers to avoid
  • Healing foods and drinks to try
  • Tailored supplementation
  • Lifestyle tips in fighting IBS
